HIDING FROM SIGHT

The attack on Tarquin has left the troupe of Roadside Paradise struggling to recover. V withdraws, trying to cope with the deception and loss, unsure how to proceed with challenging the Guild of the Red Dragon after such a devastating breach of the troupe’s safety. Athena is also left reeling and mustering up all the determination she can to continue with her mission to free her sister from the Guild of the Red Dragon.

Shakily pulling themselves together, the troupe prepares to head out on the road again, feeling safer as previous members of the troupe return in response to the attack to protect the members of the family. And when Roadside Paradise receives an offer for a private show, the troupe feels emboldened enough to strike out on the circuit again.

The private show promises a boost in V’s power if he can properly execute the targets, but to do so, he asks Athena to play the part of ringleader. Referrals prove challenging as feeling stir within Athena that have everyone worried about her contract with the powerful deity as his growing powers threaten to overwhelm his contractor.

But after a cryptic warning, Athena begins to wonder if they are playing into the Guild’s trap by making V stronger.
